Richard Du – President and CEO

Richard Du is the President and CEO of Dumann Associates. Mr. Du’s real estate advisory and investment services focuses on profit-oriented management, leasing, marketing, and acquisition and sales programs for commercial properties owned by his investor groups and clients. Mr. Du’s experience, creativity and resourcefulness enable him to transform non-traditional real estate opportunities into high performing assets, and unlock the value of undervalued properties. Mr. Du’s portfolio of clients include domestic and foreign investors, multi-national corporations, financial institutions, and exclusive retail tenants. During his tenure, with his 42 agents, Mr. Du was responsible for over 100 transactions ranging from $1 million to $750 million dollars in both retail leasing and building sales.

Mr. Du immigrated to the United States as a youth from Asia with little more than the shirt on his back. His strong desire to succeed along his keen business sense enabled him to build a successful career in sales with Xerox where he served as a district manager. Mr. Du started his commercial real estate career with Helmsley Spears over 10 years ago where he gained an extensive understanding of the New York Commercial Real Estate Market. With Dumann Associates, Mr. Du was able to realize his vision to create a company that focuses on supporting its clients throughout the entire real-estate life cycle. Mr. Du understands that properties in New York are businesses that need a variety of real estate services in order to stay profitable. Dumann Associates was established to fill this need by acting as a trusted advisor to its clients and offering them a full suite of integrated services which can be executed quickly to meet their business goals. Under Mr. Du’s leadership, Dumann Associates continues to evolve to respond to the needs of our clients and their businesses.


Mac Luk – Executive Director

Mac Luk brings an international perspective to Dumann Associates having spent a significant amount of time in Europe and Asia. Mr. Luk joined Mr. Du more than 6 years ago focusing on retail leasing in New York. The experienced he gained working with owners and tenants in the New York Real Estate Market provided a broad perspective of the commercial real estate business and the opportunities to create a company with a unique business model that is focused on long term value for its clients. As the Executive Director for Dumann Design and Build, Mr. Luk focuses on ensuring that Dumann's customized solutions create the value required for its clients that promote mutually profitable long relationships. Mr. Luk is instrumental in the development of Dumann’s proprietary decision support technology that allows Dumann to provide exceptional service to its clients in terms of speed to deal and depth of research and information.


Daniel Findorak - Managing Director Investment Sales

Daniel Findorak is the Managing Director of Investment Sales at Dumann Realty. Mr. Findorak began his commercial real estate career with Dumann focusing on retail leasing where he developed a deep understanding of the New York real estate market. As the head of Dumann’s Investment Sales team Mr. Findorak, specializes in assisting his clients in acquisition and disposition across all asset types in Manhattan and the outer boroughs. Mr. Findorak and his investment sales team provides in-depth research and advisory services and are able to leverage their strong professional relationships to seek out off-market opportunities on the behalf of their clients. Mr. Findorak is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a degree in Finance with a concentration in Real Estate and Urban Economics.


Ronald A. Sarno, Esq. – Legal Consultant

Ronald A. Sarno, Esq. works both in New York City and Ridgewood, New Jersey. His New York firm Sarno & DeFelice, LLC, provides general law representation for individuals and business property owners. The law firm's NY clients include DUMANN REALTY, DUMANN DESIGN AND BUILD, DUMANN ASSOCIATES, 2004 BOWERY PARTNERS, LLC, and 2699 DOUGLAS PARTNERS LLC. His New Jersey clients include McKENNA,INC., an asset management firm, and GRACE REFORMED BAPTIST CHURCH.

Mr. Sarno has extensive experience in medical management before becoming a lawyer. He has a rich educational background also; he has an A.B. and M.A. from Boston College where he majored in English; he has a Ph.D. in education and media studies from New York University, and his legal education was at Fordham University in New York City. He has often represented NYC real estate brokers and property owners in court. He has done numerous bench and jury trials both in Federal and State courts in New Jersey and New York. He has participated in several major real estate and medical cases involving multi-million dollar issues. He is an active trial litigator in both New York and New Jersey courts. He has participated in multiple mediations, arbitrations and judicial settlement conferences.

He is a founding member of New Jersey Lawyers Network, an internet chat site for almost two hundred lawyers, who share their expertise about many legal issue to improve their service to clients. He is a volunteer with the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Education which provides seminars on continual legal education for lawyers. He acts as a copyright lawyer for his wife Dr. Una McGinley Sarno (Ph.D.) whose textbook on TEACHING TO WRITE AND TO THINK is due for publication in April, 2011.
